About Repère Boréal

A nature-based hotel site in the heart of the forest
Repère Boréal is a nature-based hotel site in Les Éboulements, in the Charlevoix region of Quebec. Founded in 2016 by brothers Jonathan and Simon Galarneau, it brings together 35 design dwellings set into the forest, with architecture conceived to preserve the land, and a Nordic spa beneath the canopy. Every stay is designed as a way to reconnect with nature, rooted in the terroir of Charlevoix and its local partners.

A family story
Repère Boréal was born from a family story, deeply rooted in Charlevoix, the region we come from. It all began with a dream: to build a project with our father, who passed on to us his love for this land. He left us shortly before the site opened its doors. We chose to carry on, true to what he gave us: the wish to offer a place where people take the time to inhabit the beauty of Charlevoix, rather than simply pass through it.

Dwellings designed and built here
From the very beginning, our mission has been to offer a unique setting where you can take in nature in the greatest comfort. We have welcomed tens of thousands of visitors who chose Repère Boréal to create exceptional moments, as a couple, with family, with friends or on their own. Each one different, our dwellings are designed and built in our own workshop, which you will see as you arrive. Each carries the same intention: a design made for the forest, meant to blend into it rather than stand out.

Our footprint
In everything we do and everything we create, we believe our footprint should be minimal on nature and maximal in its local benefits. This is what guides us every day. And we feel privileged to see that these principles resonate with you too: that is what allows us to keep dreaming and nurturing this unique place that is Repère Boréal.
